East Coast Sound ??
Mid-Atlantic District & Montclair Chapter
Dir by David Ammirata
The East Coast Sound is a youth barbershop chorus based in northern New Jersey. The chorus was originally formed in 2007 under the name Tristar Chorus in order to compete in the Barbershop Harmony Society's inaugural Youth Barbershop Chorus Contest in January of 2008 down in San Antonio, Texas as part of the Society's International Midwinter Convention. Since then, the East Coast Sound has been the only youth chorus to compete at every subsequent midwinter convention, competing again in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. In Orlando this January, under the name Tristar Chorus, the East Coast Sound placed 7th overall and earned their highest score to date! In August of 2013, the chorus underwent some administrative changes, including the aforementioned name change. In 2014, East Coast Sound competed at the contest once again, earning a Superior rating and their new highest score ever.
Missed two choruses at break (The Voice , Melodic Morristown Men ??)
Had to walk too far for food services at intermission!
